Payment Policy

Army Universe accepts several payment methods for eligible orders. Available payment options may vary depending on the order amount, shipping destination, customer verification, and other circumstances.

Accepted Payment Methods

Payment by Mail

Army Universe does not accept personal checks, business checks, cash by mail, or any payment method not specifically approved by us.

Army Universe reserves the right to add, remove, restrict, or refuse a payment method at any time.

Credit and Debit Card Payments

Credit and debit card orders are charged when the order is placed, not when the order is shipped.

The billing name, billing address, security code, and other payment information must match the information maintained by the card issuer. Incorrect or incomplete billing information may cause the transaction to be declined, delayed, canceled, or held for additional verification.

An approval or authorization from the card issuer does not guarantee that Army Universe will accept or fulfill the order.

Army Universe may request identification, payment verification, proof of billing address, authorization from the cardholder, or other documentation before processing or shipping an order.

We may refuse or cancel an order when:

  • Payment cannot be verified;
  • The billing information does not match;
  • The transaction is flagged as potentially fraudulent or high-risk;
  • The customer does not provide requested verification;
  • The payment is declined, reversed, disputed, or unauthorized;
  • The order contains an obvious pricing or system error; or
  • Other circumstances reasonably prevent us from safely accepting the payment.

PayPal Payments

PayPal payments are subject to PayPal’s terms, verification procedures, restrictions, and account requirements.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that the shipping address and other order information provided through PayPal are complete and accurate.

Army Universe may require that an order be shipped to the address approved or confirmed through PayPal. We may delay or cancel an order if the transaction or shipping address does not satisfy applicable payment-protection or verification requirements.

Zelle Payments

Zelle may be available for orders approved by Army Universe.

Contact us before sending a Zelle payment unless payment instructions were provided during checkout. Zelle payments must be sent only to the official payment information provided directly by Army Universe.

The customer must include the applicable order number or other requested reference information with the payment.

An order will not be processed or shipped until the Zelle payment has been received and verified. Sending a payment does not guarantee product availability or order acceptance.

Army Universe is not responsible for payments sent to an incorrect recipient, telephone number, email address, bank account, or other destination not authorized by Army Universe.

Never send an additional payment in response to instructions received from an unverified person or account. Contact Army Universe directly if payment instructions appear unusual or different from the instructions originally provided.

Payment by Mail

To place an order using Payment by Mail:

  1. Add the desired merchandise to your shopping cart and proceed to checkout.
  2. Enter the complete billing and shipping information.
  3. Select “Payment by Mail” as the payment method.
  4. Complete checkout and record the order number.
  5. Mail the full payment amount with the order number to the mailing address listed on our Contact Us page.

Accepted mailed payments are limited to:

  • Money orders;
  • Cashier’s checks;
  • Certified checks; and
  • Bank checks.

Do not mail cash, personal checks, or business checks.

The order number must be clearly included with the payment. Payments received without sufficient identifying information may be delayed or returned.

Orders paid by mail will not be processed or shipped until:

  • The payment is received;
  • The payment is verified;
  • The payment has fully cleared, when applicable; and
  • The order is accepted by Army Universe.

Merchandise is not guaranteed to remain available while payment is in transit or awaiting verification. If an item becomes unavailable before the payment is processed, Army Universe may contact the customer, adjust the order with authorization, issue a refund, or cancel the affected portion of the order.

Army Universe may cancel an unpaid Payment by Mail order if payment is not received within a reasonable period.

The customer is responsible for using a secure and trackable mailing method. Army Universe is not responsible for payments that are lost, stolen, damaged, delayed, or misdirected in transit.

Bank Wire Transfers and ACH Payments

Contact Army Universe before sending a bank wire transfer or ACH payment. We will provide the applicable payment instructions after reviewing the order.

A $20 processing fee applies to bank wire transfers and will be added to the amount due. Additional fees charged by the customer’s bank, intermediary bank, receiving bank, or another financial institution are the customer’s responsibility.

The full order total and all applicable fees must be received before the order will be processed or shipped. The customer is responsible for sending enough funds to cover any bank or transfer fees.

The customer must include the order number or other requested payment reference with the transfer. Payments received without sufficient identifying information may be delayed.

An order will not be considered paid until the funds have been received, identified, verified, and cleared.

Bank wire transfers and ACH payments may be subject to additional verification. Army Universe may refuse, return, or hold a transfer if the payment cannot be properly verified or matched to an approved order.

Payment Clearance and Order Processing

Orders paid by mail, Zelle, wire transfer, or ACH will not be processed or shipped until the payment is received and verified.

Payment receipt does not guarantee order acceptance, product availability, pricing accuracy, or shipment. All orders remain subject to review and acceptance by Army Universe.

If a payment is received for an order that cannot be accepted or fulfilled, Army Universe may cancel the order and return the applicable payment, less any nonrefundable bank, transfer, intermediary, or processing charges permitted by law.

Processing and delivery estimates begin after payment has been verified and the order has been accepted, not necessarily on the date the order was originally submitted.

Order Verification

To protect Army Universe and its customers, we may contact the customer or cardholder to verify an order.

Army Universe may request:

  • Government-issued identification;
  • Proof of billing or shipping address;
  • Cardholder or account-holder authorization;
  • A copy of a payment receipt;
  • Bank or transaction confirmation;
  • Verification of the telephone number or email address associated with the order; or
  • Other information reasonably necessary to verify the transaction.

Failure to provide requested verification may result in the order being delayed, limited, or canceled.

Verification documents will be reviewed only for order validation and fraud-prevention purposes, subject to applicable privacy requirements.

Billing and Shipping Address Differences

Orders with different billing and shipping addresses may require additional verification.

Army Universe may require the shipping address to be verified with the payment provider or may require the order to be shipped to the verified billing address.

We may refuse or cancel an order when we cannot verify the purchaser, payment method, billing address, shipping address, or intended recipient.

Declined or Failed Payments

If a payment is declined, rejected, reversed, returned, canceled, or otherwise unsuccessful, the order will not be processed or shipped.

Army Universe is not responsible for fees charged by the customer’s bank, card issuer, PayPal, Zelle, or other payment provider in connection with a declined, failed, reversed, or returned payment.

If a payment fails after an order has been shipped, the customer remains responsible for the full order total and any applicable recovery, carrier, bank, collection, or processing costs permitted by law.

Pricing and Payment Errors

Army Universe attempts to provide accurate pricing and payment information. However, typographical, technical, system, calculation, or transmission errors may occur.

If an order contains an obvious pricing, discount, tax, shipping, fee, or payment error, Army Universe may:

  • Contact the customer for approval of the corrected amount;
  • Correct the error before processing;
  • Cancel the affected item; or
  • Cancel and refund the order.

Receipt or processing of payment does not require Army Universe to honor an obvious pricing or system error.

Promotional Codes and Discounts

Promotional codes, coupons, credits, and discounts:

  • Must be entered before checkout is completed;
  • Cannot be added after an order is placed unless Army Universe agrees otherwise;
  • May be limited to one per order;
  • May not be combined unless specifically stated;
  • Have no cash value;
  • May be limited by item, brand, customer, order amount, or expiration date; and
  • May be canceled or refused if used improperly or in violation of the promotion’s terms.

Army Universe may correct, cancel, or refuse a discount resulting from misuse, duplication, manipulation, technical error, or an ineligible purchase.

Refunds

Refund eligibility is governed by the Army Universe Return, Exchange and Order Policy.

Approved refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method. Army Universe will not issue a refund to an unrelated card, bank account, payment account, or individual.

For payments made by money order, cashier’s check, certified check, bank check, wire transfer, ACH, or Zelle, Army Universe may issue an approved refund by company check, electronic payment, account credit, or another reasonable method selected by Army Universe.

Original wire fees, bank fees, intermediary fees, processing fees, currency-conversion charges, and other third-party payment costs are nonrefundable unless otherwise required by law.

Army Universe will not issue a duplicate refund for an amount already credited, reversed, reimbursed, or disputed through a bank, card issuer, payment provider, marketplace, carrier, or insurer.

Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Customers should contact Army Universe first if they believe there is a billing or order problem so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve it.

A refund, return, replacement, or store-credit request may be suspended while a chargeback, payment dispute, fraud review, or related investigation is pending.

Initiating a chargeback does not eliminate the customer’s responsibility to return merchandise when a return is otherwise required.

Army Universe reserves the right to provide the applicable bank, card issuer, payment provider, collection service, or law-enforcement agency with order records, delivery information, communications, return-policy information, and other documentation relevant to a payment dispute or suspected fraud.

International Orders

For orders shipping outside the United States, Army Universe may accept:

  • PayPal;
  • Bank wire transfer;
  • ACH bank transfer; and
  • Zelle, where available and approved.

Available international payment methods may vary by destination, order amount, verification requirements, and other circumstances.

International orders are charged when placed and not when shipped.

All payments must be made in the currency specified by Army Universe. The customer is responsible for:

  • Currency-conversion charges;
  • Foreign transaction fees;
  • Wire or intermediary bank fees;
  • Customs duties;
  • Taxes;
  • Brokerage charges;
  • Import fees; and
  • Any other charges imposed by a bank, payment provider, carrier, government, or destination country.

Army Universe does not control currency-conversion rates or fees imposed by third parties.

International orders may require additional identity, address, and payment verification. Army Universe may refuse or cancel an international transaction that cannot be satisfactorily verified.

International-order returns and refunds are subject to the Army Universe Return, Exchange and Order Policy.

Suspected Fraud or Unauthorized Transactions

Army Universe reserves the right to refuse, delay, limit, or cancel any transaction involving suspected fraud, unauthorized payment, identity misuse, payment manipulation, unusual purchasing activity, inconsistent customer information, or other circumstances that reasonably create a payment or security concern.

Army Universe may cooperate with payment providers, banks, carriers, marketplaces, law-enforcement agencies, and other appropriate parties when investigating suspected fraud or unauthorized activity.

Changes to This Policy

Army Universe may update the payment methods, fees, requirements, and terms in this policy from time to time.

The policy applicable to an order will generally be the version posted when the order was placed, except when a change is required by law or benefits the customer.

Nothing in this policy limits any right or remedy that cannot legally be waived or restricted.
